The Mount Hotham Free Ski Performance Pathway is a year-round program that identifies individual athletes who show passion and talent for skiing, are focused, enjoy goal orientation and are keen to take their skiing to the next level, and want to ski within a performance and competitive team environment.
This Pathway is aligned with the established Snow Australia Performance Pathways which include both Freestyle disciplines – Moguls and Slopestyle.
The initial athlete pathway process starts by encouraging the passion and love for the sport of skiing for an athlete to work within a happy team environment. Learning basic life skills and to ski all disciplines on all mountain terrains. To enter all competitions from a young age until the maturity age of 14-15 years old. The development of a chosen ski discipline pathway then becomes a more serious and committed athlete.

MOGULS
Whether you want to take your bumps skiing to Inter-Schools or a national level and beyond, or just simply take on the art of fluid and dynamic mogul skiing. Our nationally recognised bumps program focuses on consistently building and developing the technical foundations of a mogul turn whilst developing the correct structural pathway for jumping techniques, learning acute aerial awareness to unlock your freedom on all Mogul terrains.
We ensure fun jumping progressions that allows you to unleash that hidden potential.
By pushing yourself out of your comfort zone you will have the platform to be reaching new levels of confidence.
Under the guidance of Martin Rowley, previous World Cup competitor and National champion, this program will give you the opportunity to reach new levels of mogul skiing.
Skiing Slopestyle isn’t just about hitting the park all day, every day. The skills that go into landing that fabled trick you have seen your favourite skier do at X- Games or on the Web comes from building comfort both on your ski’s and confidence in the air through challenging balance all over the hill.
Our Slopestyle Program aims at taking these fundamental aerial skills back into the park to stoke the fires for the next generation of Australian Slopestyle/ Park shredders!
By challenging and putting yourself out of your comfort zone, this program will give you’re ‘bag of tricks’ to build a mental and physical platform that enables all young rippers the opportunity to break down barriers and achieve their goals!
Headed up by current and passionate park shredder Dylan Lewin-Vanyi, along with guest coaches, by the end of the program, we aim to bundle these skills into a well-rounded package that enables our young skiers to develop their own individual interpretation of style in the park and broaden their repertoire of tricks both on rails and jumps.
